About Us

Chevy Chase At Home is a caring, neighborhood-based nonprofit organization that serves the communities of Chevy Chase, Maryland. See our service area.

CC@H is part of the national village movement that supports community members as they get older with a “Neighbors Helping Neighbors” model. Our goal is to make sure that as neighbors grow older, we also grow closer. Our members make new friends, stay active, engaged, and connect with caring neighbors of every age.

Our members have access to support that assists them to live independently, have peace of mind, and enjoy social connections with neighbors.

How It Works

Services. We are a network of neighbors helping neighbors. CC@H provides older adults with a wide range of practical volunteer-provided services and social connections – from rides to helping with errands, minor home repairs and technology, to brightening the day with a call or visit – making it easier for older adults to live confidently at home and stay engaged in the community. See our Membership Benefits.

Programs. We provide a full calendar of social and educational events (in person and on Zoom), including our Speaker Series, socials, happy hours, coffees, lunches, exercise opportunities and walking groups, Brunch Bunch, and shared interest groups – including Aging Well, Knitting/Needlework/Crafts, Gardener/Naturalist, Movie and Book Groups, Downsizing, Bridge, Mahjong, Men’s Poker, and Travel. We also offer special programs on home safety, preventing scams, aging solo, and offer an annual Vaccine Clinic.

Who Are Our Volunteers?

Our volunteers are our neighbors. They are of all ages and volunteer out of a desire to assist their neighbors and be more involved with their neighborhood. Volunteering for CC@H is a great way to make new friends, stay connected, and add more purpose to your life. Many of our members volunteer too!

Note: Volunteers are screened by CC@H. They complete a volunteer application, meet with staff, sign a privacy agreement, attend an orientation and go through a background check.
