Raluca Iarosis, a docent at the Hirshhorn Museum and the Smithsonian Castle since 2014, introduces us to three contemporary women artists from different parts of the world. The focus will be on the diversity of their techniques and materials, the resulting meaning or message in each case, and the source of inspiration. One of her approaches is to look at the works of our times through the perspective of the history of art or history. Equally important, is to focus on the technique and materials used by the artists, which she considers a relevant point especially in contemporary art. Register by June 15. Hosted by Cheverly Village.
