This November, the Diane Rehm Book Club returns with a discussion of “The Lying Life of Adults” by Elena Ferrante. Known for her “Neapolitan Novels” quartet, Ferrante’s newest work brings readers back to Naples, Italy. It's the 1990s and we meet a girl from a middle-class family who, as she grows from child to teenager, learns the adults in her life are not to be trusted.
Join Diane Rehm and a panel of guests on Wednesday, November 18, at 1 p.m. ET for a conversation about growing up, the challenges of adolescence and the possibilities for a girl in our society today.
