Bethesda Community Base Ball Club founder and president Bruce Adams reflects on the history of the Bethesda Big Train summer college baseball team — from the inspiration, construction of Shirley Povich Field, creating the Big Train brand, winning a national championship, making $600,000 of improvements to youth fields from Germantown to Anacostia, transferring the program to BCC Baseball, and retaking stewardship in the middle of a global health pandemic. Sponsored by Bethesda Metro Village and the Bethesda Historical Society. RSVP to director@bmavillage.org by the day before the program for meeting link, with program name in the title.
