POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT:
Member and Volunteer Programs Manager
Chevy Chase At Home is a community-based non-profit membership organization serving older adults. CC@H is part of the nationwide “village” movement built on a model of neighbors helping neighbors. CC@H offers members social and educational opportunities as well as a range of volunteer-provided services to support aging in place. The Member and Volunteer Programs Manager is an integral part of CC@H’s small professional team and will partner with volunteers. The Manager is responsible for ensuring a vibrant schedule of social and educational programming and a robust offering of volunteer-provided services.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Plan and promote programs, events, and interest groups
- Coordinate the recruitment, training and engagement of volunteers
- Manage member service requests and ensure timely delivery of volunteer-provided services
- Create and send weekly Member and Volunteer News e-newsletter
- Support Membership Recruitment and retention efforts
- Manage and regularly update website and social media
- Process and track key data and metrics in Data Management system
- Provide administrative support for village projects
Key Skills Needed:
- Strong computer skills, Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Zoom are required, Email marketing software preferred.
- Strong oral and written communication skills; Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and record keeping skills, Great attention to detail
- Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks
More Information:
This is a 30 hour-a-week staff role with a M-F work schedule within the core hours of 9-3 pm with some flexibility through a combination of teleworking (phone, computer and email) and in-person activity. The position offers $25 an hour, paid Federal holidays, and two weeks of paid personal time off. The position could be a job-share position with the right two candidates working 15 hours a week.
