Susan Rubin Suleiman will speak on the Arts of the Spanish Civil War, a period of terrible violence the tragedy of which inspired great literary, including poetry, and visual art. Dr. Suleiman is Emerita C. Douglas Dillon Professor of the Civilization of France and Professor of Comparative Literature at Harvard University. She authored several books and over 100 academic articles as well as articles in The New York Times and The Boston Globe.
